Beds were very comfortable and clean.

Beds were very comfortable and clean. Great air con. Cheap and affordable.

Very noisy. Location was a good 30 minute drive away from anything. I also returned one evening to ask the staff was food being served. I was told no and so went out to get something - once I returned around 20 minutes later the cafe was full of people being served food. Very disappointing.

Very satisfied!

I like the location and the hostel itself. Especially their cafe. Halo halo is a must try!

There's only one hook in the restroom, you can't place your clothes or towel.

Excellent and will be back soon .

It's nice and quite amazing. I really love the place so cute and cozy. I like the cute capsule room. There's a lot of mirrors @ the cafe but why is it they don't have mirror inside a room(capsule room). Anyway everything is really good especially the cleanliness @ the toilet and bathroom,shower is really good.

No mirror @ the room.

Random rooms in back of cafe

Bed was comfy, room was clean

This was really far from airport we only stayed one night but felt very random away from any backpacking area and it was just a bedroom next to the kitchen in a local cafe. Just okay for the night but cost a lot to get to and from airport.

Clean and nice, would stay again

Very comfortable and clean, quiet, good shower pressure and very kind and cute staff. You have privacy as there's curtains and a power plug per bed. Easy to move around by jeepney. It takes about 1.5h to go to the airport, including the waiting time. (Go to SM and take the airport bus)

There's no backpacker vibe, as the place to hang out it's a restaurant as well, so it's good for a group of friends or people who want to rest

The stay was good, value for money for the room cost.

Food is not applicable for the booking made. The location was good for the places that we've visited.

It would have been better if water supply is strong or at least average.

Cute and cosy but sound is a problem.

Stayed in the private room and thought it was the cutest, cosiest little place. AC dripped when turned off but apart from that room was lovely and clean. Homely feel.

Staff were not good at staying quiet or asking others to keep quiet- people with children being very loud right outside room. We were kept up until past midnight because of noise even after asking for quiet. Then woken up at 6am by staff loud knocking on the room next door (an employers room). This really impacted our stay as we were so tired and needed rest. If sound hadn’t been an issue I would rate this a 9.

What was the highlight of GardenPod Hostel + Café

It was a very good experience for my first time in Cebu. I will definitely be back.

It was a bit far from the main city but the location is still nice. It is near attractions like Magellan's Cross, Fort San Pedro, Sto. Nino Church and such. Also, the place is along the highway and the hostel is actually where Monbi's Halo Halo is. I would also consider this a safe neighborhood. There won't be issues with the commute as there were taxis parked outside the hostel, as well as habal habals (commute via motorcycle) and multicabs. They also serve the usual silogs (fried rice and egg with your choice of fried viands on the side) at a very cheap cost - roughly Php 45-60 pesos per meal.

Not that I don't like their food. I love it. I just want to suggest that maybe they can add more food choices to their menu. Nonetheless, it was a typical Filipino meal.

Great ambiance. Clean rooms. Good food. Nice people.

The three ladies who accommodated us are very hospitable and nice. The ambiance is really good, they did put a lot of effort on the interiors. The rooms and beddings are clean. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely go back! Thank you!

Staff was lovely and the halo halo at the cafe is to die for!

Staff was lovely and the halo halo at the cafe is to die for! Wi-Fi was consistent even if it wasn't the fastest. Watching videos was doable in the cafe, but in the room you needed a bit of buffering. AC was on at all times in the room so it was nice and cool.

The location is not great. There's really nothing around and the main sights and shopping malls are 4+ km away. The capsule style beds can get pretty stuffy at night despite the personal bedside fan and room AC. Only one electrical socket in cafe so doing some work on a laptop is pretty difficult.
